Thrive PR, a Dallas/Fort Worth-based strategic communications and creative agency founded in 2003, recently received a national PRSA Silver Anvil Strategic Award of Excellence in the Internal Communications category at the 2023 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Anvil Award ceremony. The event, which took place at the historic Edison Ballroom in New York City, annually celebrates the best strategic public relations campaigns of the year across the U.S., as well as outstanding organizational excellence.

“The Anvil Awards are considered the benchmark of high performance in public relations, and it was an honor to spend an evening among the best of the best,” said Kelly Kirkendoll, founder and CEO of Thrive PR. “We’re proud of the work we do and the impact we make for our clients, and we’re thrilled to be a recipient of this national award.”

“Our driving mission is to serve ‘every patient, every time,’ and delivering on that purpose starts with a connected and engaged workforce,” said Jeff Mongonia, CEO of Hospice Source. “We’re honored that the internal communications work we’ve done in partnership with the incredible team at Thrive has been recognized at the national PRSA level.”

2023 PRSA Anvil Award recipients included Fortune 500 companies, international agencies, major nonprofits, government organizations, universities and more.

PRSA recognized Thrive PR for the internal communications program the agency created for its client, Hospice Source. With the majority of its employees in non-desk/delivery roles, Hospice Source struggled to keep its workforce informed and connected. When a new CEO arrived, he tasked Thrive PR with creating and implementing an effective internal communications strategy.

Thrive PR’s integrated internal communications campaign, “Every Employee, Every Time: Engaging a Disparate Workforce,” resulted in a more engaged, informed and connected workforce for Hospice Source employees.

“Hospice Source was committed to changing the company’s culture and recognized that its employees were the key to success,” said Kirkendoll. “We enjoyed partnering with the executive and management teams on this award-winning project to help make their vision a reality.”

PRSA is the leading professional organization serving the communications community through a network of more than 400 professional and student chapters in the U.S., Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Puerto Rico.
